Twenty six vehicles attended the HVV weekend at the picturesque Williams River Caravan Park Clarencetown. The beautiful 26 deg. weather complimented the views.
Pres, Ron conducted a Mini-Olympics which comprised blind partner selection in pairs & was participated in with great gusto & much laughter. John C & Vera were the overall winners of the total scores from the Disc bowls, Boulles, Golf putting & Quoits with Diana H & Stephen F a close second & Pat Mc & Peter B third. The Bradman (last) prize went to Leonie A & Joe. As John C did not want to hog the limelight by despatching the kitty outside the disc bowls perimeter - he shared the honors with Allan B, Ian Mc, Trevor A & a few others. As Gary H was away he was excluded from that prestigious group.
We welcomed visitor cum new members Roy & Anita Worth in their newly fitted out vehicle on its maiden voyage, & vis. Peter Bourke & day vis. Max & Tessa. It was great to have Roger & Mary back after their extensive travels, & Frank & Jan Eather in their nice m/h with their abundant supply of honey, jams, gramma, pumpkin & firewood -thankyou very much. The ladies again provided yummy cakes, & John N made some nice dampers which with jam /honey & cream was quickly polished off with their tea & coffee.
Special mention to Vera & Allan who eventually experienced a win at cards (500's) over Ted & Cyril. Wishing anyone not experiencing the best of health (especially you Dave) a speedy recovery. From all reports we experienced a marvellous Fathers Day weekend.
Wishing all good health & safe travels, "Keep the dream alive". Squirrels Hutch. |
