HUNTER VALLEY 

There were 41 motor homes, and 82 persons attending including some of our members attending as day visitors - Pat and Bill Atkins and Jan Ingram.

Visitors for the weekend were made welcome, Bob and Elaine Creely, Peter and Denise Wilson and Bill and Rosemary Taylor (Bill turned out to be a champion carrot peeler - nice work Bill - a big thank you from the catering staff).

Fred and Joy McKew have re- located from the Sunshine Coast and Sunchasers Branch - moving south to Port Macquarie. Welcome to you both and we hope we'll see more of you in the future.

There was a hotly contested disk bowl competition on Saturday leading to an exciting final which was won by John Cotton and Rosemary Taylor They were presented with the Club Trophy and Gold Medals.

Runners Up were Gai Watson and Fred McKew and they proudly wore their Silver Medals. Congratulations to all winners!!

A raffle was conducted during the weekend - raising $110-. for the H.V.V. funds.

Thank you to all who contributed.

Our Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday morning and elections carried out for the incoming Committee. All the following members were appointed unopposed.

Ron Doherty - President, Stephen Finlay - Vice President, Secretary Allan Bush, Treasurer Judy Doherty, Assistant Secretary /Treasurer - John Cotton,

Catering Officer - Mrs. Pat Moss, Parking Officer - Trevor Atkins.

The Catering team did us proud with a very nice meal on Saturday night. Judy and her helpers, Leonie and Pat, did an excellent job - and they had a small team of other Branch members who made sure everything went well. Their hard work was much appreciated by all.

Mention must be made about the delicious Christmas cake made by Jill Brislane and we enjoyed a huge range of goodies at morning tea provided by several of our ladies all great cooks!!

Saturday night was filled with skits, songs, jokes etc. and the fun of "Santa" and his helper visiting with gifts of bon-bons made by Edna.

Later in the evening Denise - one of our visitors - entertained us with a trivia quiz, and some mad- cap stunts. All very enjoyable and ending a really wonderful evening.

The fellowship of the weekend was great - everyone went home happy and content.

Our Christmas weekend at Limeburners Creek weather was wonderful-sunny days and a gentle cool breeze each night which made our Christmas Dinner and the following celebrations very pleasant.
